How Yoga Can Help Your Joints
October 16th, 2009 9:31 pmIt’s true that yoga is a good technique for helping with stress and anxiety, but did you know that it can also help support your joints. Many people find themselves suffering from arthritis in later life which in itself can be agony, especially if the condition is much worse such as osteoarthritis which can debilitate patients and cause extreme pain. This is a horrible condition, but yoga is an exercise technique which can help reduce the symptoms. Many people who suffer from the condition and practise yoga have found that it helps reduce both the emotional and physical symptoms, keeping their joints flexible.
Movement is already a known medicine for osteoarthritise, but some movements are better than others and this is where yoga comes in. Yoga exercises cover a great range of motion which helps much more than other forms of exercise. If ever you wanted a way of reducing the pain without having to take pills, yoga is surely the answer.
